EDMONTON - She doesn’t do much to celebrate Christmas herself, but that doesn’t stop an Edmonton prostitute from hitting the streets to hand out holiday gift baskets to fellow sex-trade workers.
For the second year now, Carol-Lynn Strachan has been roaming the city’s sex-trade strolls giving out the baskets as part of what she calls her Hug-a-Ho program.
“It’s just a way to show them that somebody cares about them,” said Strachan, a well-known advocate for sex-trade workers in Edmonton.
